concentration three

this is my third concentration piece. its of downtown of course and i decided to mix things up a bit this time by throwing a couple filters on it to give it a completely different effect. I like the way the pink lighting is in every corner of the picture except the upper left. I tried doing a lot of different things with this picture and towards the end i kept it pretty simple.

concentration two

This is my first piece of my city life/downtown architecture. I took this picture standing on the top level of the pavilion in downtown denver. As you can see the sign says denver haha.
Rule of thirds i think is pretty strong along with line. The lines of the lights and then the lines behind the denver posting brings a lot to the picture. some negative things about it are the color scheme could be much stronger and i think i could've stood in a different place and made this picture a lot better.

Richard Avedon- He has always been one of my favorite photographers. His technique is unique and interesting. As you can tell his style is portraits, but not your average portrait, he adds things within the picture that makes it one of a kind. If i were to take portrait pictures, i would definately do the plain background as he did. it gives the picture and what is going on with the individual so much more significance. (second picture)

Ansel Adams- I really enjoy looking at his work. The landscapes that he gets pictures of are amazing, and sometimes unblievable. its one of those things that you have to be in the right spot at the right time or you wouldnt ever get photos that look the way they do. his shots are clean and perfect!
